Relationship Therapy
Relationships are a central part of our lived experience, whether we are navigating romantic, familial, social, or professional relationships.
Relationship therapy is aimed at helping individuals understand, improve, and navigate their interpersonal relationships. This therapy supports clients to address relationship challenges, enhance self-awareness, and develop effective strategies for managing relationship dynamics, whether in romantic, familial, or social contexts.
In therapy focusing on relationships, I support my clients to gain insight into their relationship patterns, including recurring issues, communication styles, and emotional responses. By exploring past and current relationships, clients can identify underlying patterns that impact their interactions and connect to a greater sense of empowerment around their relational functioning. This process can involve identifying and examining core beliefs that may be disrupting clients in forming and maintaining satisfying and healthy relationships. As well as learning and implementing practical tools to increase sense of intimacy and safety in relationships through positive communication, boundary setting, and self-regulation.
I hold a non-judgmental approach in working with clients around relationships and empower my clients to make their own choices. Sometimes clients fear that seeking support will result in a therapist telling them to leave their romantic relationship or cut off family members. That is not my role. My role is to support you in navigating the relationships in your life by providing a safe space for discussion.
